why do rogans hate rory so much? i just don’t get it, they’re so insistent on the “fact” that he’s the “best thing that ever happened to her” and rory is an ungrateful spoiled brat. they don’t actually see rory as a person she’s just a method for them to live vicariously and enjoy their rich boyfriend. i’d actually respect them if they could admit this but then they push the narrative that logan is actually a good person. like i saw this one girl on tik tok argue logan is leftist, and i just- you mean the pretentious fucker who spends money likes it’s nothing, was kicked out of several private schools (opportunities others would kill for), was so ungrateful about receiving an education at a top school, and belittles people who actually have to work? he’s a leftist? i’m actually convinced these people watch the show with their eyes closed. oh then another rogan said liz’s description in s2 doesn’t match up with the “sweet” liz we see in s4. bitch that is a woman who was actively abusing her child and is shown many times throughout the show to be a horrible mother. god these people need to go watch gossip girl or something cause do not have the brainpower to watch gilmore girls

oh my god say alllll of that. i def don’t see logan as a leftist at all—if anything he’s probably moderate and one of those people who insists they hate politics/won’t read the news (which is ironic considering his father’s profession). he doesn’t seem like the kind of person to take interest in social causes or care about the environment or anything like that, so the idea that he’s attached to any political party is laughable. also i love how rogans hate rory for dropping out of yale, partying, being “lazy” and privileged and entitled when… logan is literally all of those things? and he exacerbates them in rory? he’s not the best thing to ever happen to her, he’s the worst. also that’s not to say that rory is any of those things, to be clear: what i mean is that by associating herself with logan, his habits rub off on her and she finds herself in situations she’d never be in otherwise.

as for liz, hoooooo don’t get me started. i was recently reading about FASD (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder) for one of my courses, and it just got me so fired up thinking about how casually she’d admitted to binge drinking when pregnant with jess. come to think about it, jess actually does exhibit some behaviours associated with FASD, but i doubt that was intentional on ASP’s part.
